Look, I’ll be quick so you can get straight to the photo of Dave, but watching that Tony Abbott interview on the 7.30 Report this week was a true train wreck moment… I mean, where to start?

 

Everyone knows that politicians lie. Fact. So hearing Toy Abbott admitting it live on air was, in itself, hardly surprising. But hearing the response to his comments has been interesting.

 

The fact is, we know we’re being lied to. In every political campaign, we KNOW that some things are true and some things are… umm... less true. The electorate is not that naïve that we believe everything they say is “gospel truth” (thank you Tony). But we want to believe it. We want to be seduced by them… it’s like going out on a date… “Does my bum look big in this?”

 

“Of course it doesn’t… would I lie to you?”
