The Stoics
Hailing from Launceston Tasmania, the Stoics are the latest addition to the Fogsongs Music roster.
Over the past two years the band have supported just about every act that has toured the apple isle, including Bluejuice, Yves Kleine Blue and Claire Bowditch as well as performing at the Falls Festival, Triple J AWOL, MS Fest and heaps of local Tassie festivals.
Airplay wise, the band have already been played on Triple J after being awarded ‘Next Crop’ status and featuring on Triple J ‘unearthed’. The first single "Doom Girl" is receiving spot play on Triple J now!
With the signing of their worldwide publishing deal with Fogsongs Music, the Stoics head to Sydney in September to lay down their debut album at Damien Gerard Studios. They already have two successful EP’s under their belt including their current release “Death Machine” which has just gone to media and is available now on iTunes. Check out the feature tracks “Doom Girl” and “Living Proof”.
Fogsongs Music looks forward to a long and fruitful relationship with the Stoics.

Strategic Partnership!
Fogsongs music publishing is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Tasmanian label Rivercity Records, effective June 2010.
Rivercity is a promising new label, based in Devonport, Tas, founded and directed by Dave Skyes, who is using his many years of industry experience in Sydney to cultivate and encourage emerging Tasmanian artists.
Fogsong’s Marshall Cullen says, “We are chuffed to be looking after the rights, administration and licensing of Rivercity’s catalogue. We have already picked up a USA sync on one of their tracks, so it’s a great start. We look forward to working with their fresh new roster of young artists in the very near future".
Dave from Rivercity agrees; "We couldn't be happier - it's a pretty exciting time with the new label. To have Fogsongs out there batting for us is a great feeling. They have already done great work for us & we are looking forward to a long and hopefully very fruitful future together!"
Rivercity currently represents an intriguing mix of bright young talent including;
SHOE
Blending a mix of rock, pop, alternative and a splash of funk, Shoe have evolved into an original and freshly-unique group of lads who have built a strong reputation for delivering raw, colourful and highly energetic live performances. Their song “egg” has already been used on an episode of NBC’s ‘Mercy’.
THE DIRTY LOVE
A trio of brothers with all the elements of solid glam rock; style, themes, screams and kicks. Packed with dirty growls, anthemic interludes and backed by punchy drums, their tunes recklessly drive themselves into your head until you’re shouting right along to them.
NOVELLA
Tasmanian superstars Novella have been clocking up the big name supports of late, playing alongside some of Australia’s best rock bands (The Angels, Birds of Tokyo, Jimmy Barnes, British India). The boys epitomise the hard-working Aussie spirit and are slated for big things in the coming year.
CRUEL LIKE THAT
Having just completed a full studio album, Cruel Like That are about to make waves in the Australian music scene. Already establishing themselves as one of Tassie’s hottest new exports, the band have played alongside Australian music gurus Silverchair, Pete Murray and Karnivool.
